Finance Education Centre opens bookings for 2026 Asset Finance Academy with new 'Choose Your Own Pathway' option
The Finance Education Centre (FEC) has announced that bookings are now open for its 2026 Asset Finance Academy, including a new flexible ‘Choose Your Own Pathway’ option designed to support employers bringing new talent into the asset finance industry.
The new pathway allows delegates to select any three modules from a choice of six, providing core knowledge and essential skills while significantly reducing both the time required to complete the programme and the overall cost to employers.
This development has been introduced in response to increasing employment and training costs across the sector, with the aim of removing barriers that may prevent organisations from investing in early-stage development for new entrants.
Commenting on the launch, Yusuf Laher, National Training Manager at the Finance Education Centre, said:
“Over the course of 2025 we have seen employment costs rising for employers of all sizes and we wanted to help. We identified that some organisations, both at the smaller and larger end of the scale, found cost and time out of the office a barrier to training.
Our mission is to help brokers and funders overcome these barriers so all new entrants get the best training they can for their staff.”
Alongside the full Asset Finance Academy, the ‘Choose Your Own Pathway’ option ensures delegates continue to receive the same high-quality training while completing a solid foundation more quickly. This accelerated approach enables employers to achieve a faster return on their investment, while still maintaining strong professional standards.
As part of this initiative the FEC will be hosting a mini-Academy starting the week commencing 10th February 2026, which will be hosted in the Northwest.
The mini-Academy will feature the three most popular courses designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to succeed in their roles and comprises:
- Introduction to Asset Finance & Product Knowledge: 10–12 February
- Credit Skills: 10–11 March
- Sales Techniques: 14–15 April
Each course is a full day (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM).
The cost for all three courses is £2,685 (inclusive of VAT), which includes all training materials for participants to keep.
The Finance Education Centre has also continued to innovate its training offering in other areas, including the introduction of a new series of commercial finance courses and the expansion of its popular credit skills programme with an intermediate-level option.
