Description

This two-day course is ideal for delegates who have completed Credit Skills (Core) or have relevant industry experience and a solid grasp of basic accounting principles. It builds the skills and confidence needed to take full ownership of preparing comprehensive finance proposals, focusing on how to effectively gather and present both financial and non-financial information in a clear and persuasive manner.

Delegates will learn to interpret full sets of accounts using key accounting concepts and understand the importance of contextual details such as asset specifics and additional security. By the end of the course, participants will be equipped to produce well-structured proposals that meet funder expectations and support successful finance applications.

• Build foundational financial knowledge by learning key accounting concepts and understanding the Profit & Loss account, Balance Sheet, and an introduction to the Cash Flow statement.
• Enhance credit and risk awareness by exploring both financial and non-financial factors that influence assessments, and learning how to present them effectively to funders or underwriters.
• Take full ownership of proposal development, understanding the critical information needed to create high-quality asset finance proposals.
• Master proposal structure and presentation using the Building Blocks template, ensuring clarity, completeness, and alignment with funder expectations.
